Before your first code review for Homework 1 Review, you must have an intake code review appointment.

Agenda

These appointments help make sure you are comfortable with the code review process before your first 1:1 code review. We will discuss:

• The difference between code reviews in this class and interactive grading or code review in practice
• The tools used to conduct code review, like branches and pull requests
• How to get the most out of each code review appointment

This will be a discussion in groups of 1 to 4 students. The appointment time will be 30 minutes so there is plenty of time to answer questions, but will likely end early.

Unfortunately, the appointment system used for 1:1 appointments does not support group appointments.

Instead, we will use the appointment system built into Canvas (which is also used for your last code review at the end of the semester).

Go to the Canvas Calendar and click the “Find Appointment” button on the right. Select this course and look for the “CS 227N Intake Review” appointments. Select a time that works with your schedule.

These appointments will be conducted during week 3 of the semester during times that 1:1 code review appointments will be available.

The intake reviews will be held via Zoom (Sophie) only, but normal code reviews can be in-person or remote depending on the day.

Make sure to arrive on-time and in the right place!
